Each year, KJWC solicits recipients for our major fundraising
project. In June, the charitable candidates are put to a vote and a
community recipient is chosen. Secondary candidates may also
receive funds based on our annual earnings budget.
We look for local organizations that contribute to the welfare of
the community, be it not for profit social programs, history or
preservation or specific community projects. All organizations are
asked to complete a funding request application, which enables us to
decide who we wish to support with our monetary gifts.
If you are interested in an
application for next year's charity, please
complete this
charitable application or contact
our Charitable Chairwoman at
charitable@kenoshajuniors.org.
We also
have a Scholarship Program that offers two high school seniors from
Kenosha County an opportunity to earn up to a $2,000 scholarship
towards a higher education. Actual scholarship amounts
are subject to monies raised, not to exceed $2,000.00 per
student. Depending on funds available,
secondary scholarships may also be awarded for runner-up students.
Applicants related to a person holding membership in GFWC - KJWC
during the five years prior to application are not eligible for
consideration.
Our
scholarship criteria are as follows:
-
Must be a Kenosha County Resident
-
Must attend a Kenosha County School (public or private)
-
Minimum GPA of 3.4
-
Our selections will be based on a total person concept, i.e.
academics, community service and leadership.
If you
are interested in applying for our scholarship, please complete
this scholarship application.
Upon completing the application, please sign and mail the
application along with your transcript to the address noted on the
application. If you have additional questions, please contact the
Scholarship Committee Chairperson at
