non-profit women’s organization dedicated to community improvement
by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer services. KJWC
provides an opportunity to:
-
Take an active role in the community
-
Serve as a volunteer for worthwhile
causes
-
Realize achievement as a group
-
Improve community life
-
Meet new friends and enjoy
fellowship
-
Develop personally and
professionally
Our charitable works include
fundraising, community projects, recognition for community service
and social events.
“KJWC Presents… Tapas and Tango”.
(formerly known as Taste of Elegance). This event will showcase a
Spanish menu, Latin dance, as well as a silent auction sponsored by
various local business owners. These fun activities accompanied by
good friends will make this an extraordinary evening.
Proceeds from this event, as well as
other fundraising activities throughout the year, are awarded each
year to our selected charity and to two local Kenosha County high
school seniors.

Together we work to make a difference to Kenosha and our community!

This year, KJWC charitable recipient is Meals on Wheels.
The Meals on Wheels Program enables the elderly, the sick,
and the disabled to remain in their own homes with help from people
who care. Through Meals on Wheels, home-delivered meals are provided
to persons who are unable to prepare their own meals and are at risk
of going to a nursing home.
Meals on Wheels provides meal service Monday thru Friday to eligible
individuals living in Kenosha County.
Meals are delivered between 11am - 1 pm. Individuals may select a
one or two meal option. For those requiring additional meals, there
are frozen meals available to eat on the weekends that are delivered
once per month.
Meals are prepared by local organizations with kitchens through
contracts with Meals on Wheels.
The Kenosha Junior Woman’s Club is pleased to support this
worthwhile organization with our fundraising efforts in 2007-2008.
